Are you looking for other opportunities to work from home that actually pay more than minimum wage? Well you’re in luck, because now companies are realizing that more people want to work from home!
Here are some legit companies that offer online jobs paying $20 an hour or more to their employees.
Before we get to the list though, I would like to say that because these companies are paying $20 an hour for work, they may require a certain set or skills or experiences. I’ve tried to include different companies so there’s variety in the skillsets required.
So go through the list and see if you have any skills or experience that’s required for any of them and if you’re interested then you can go ahead and apply!
Online Jobs Paying $20 An Hour Or More To Work At Home
Chegg is a popular tutoring service that offers help on homework and such for popular college courses. They currently pay their tutors $20 an hour when starting and then with more progress you can start to earn more!
This is another popular resource for people looking to earn a high score on a standardized test. So if you’re good at taking tests such as the GRE, SAT, ACT, GMAT and more than you may do well working for Magoosh!
They pay their experts $20 an hour on weekdays and $25 an hour on the weekends to help out students online to prepare for these exams.
They do have some requirements though before you can start working. You must have a BA or BS degree, teaching experience and of course high scores on the standardized tests that you’ve taken.
Here is yet another teaching company to work for. VIPKID hires people to tutor foreign children and help them improve their English skills. You can earn up to $22 an hour with this company. Their only requirements are that you need a Bachelor’s degree in any field and relevant teaching or tutoring experience.
With ETS you can get paid up to $20 an hour to score standardized tests! You’ll be reading and grading essays, written responses and etc. that students wrote on their exams.
If you can listen carefully and type relatively fast, then consider applying to TranscribeMe. You can get paid $20 per hour of audio transcription that you provide! You just have to pass their short transcription test to start working for them!

Rev is another transcription service company. They pay about $24 per audio transcription hour. It’s similar to TranscribeMe so as you can probably guess, you’ll have to pass their test to start transcribing.
If you have technical skills such as web designing, software developing or if you’re more of an engineer like me, you can work remotely for the web development company 10UP!
They pay their employees around $20 an hour but you can earn much more depending on your skills and such.
Additionally if you’re on the technical side, you can also apply for GitHub. It’s a software company that hires developers, engineers and sometimes even for customer support. The salaries can range from higher than $60K per year with GitHub.

SitePen is another technical company that hires software engineers, web developers, coding experts and etc. They pay $20 an hour and sometimes even more depending on the position.
There are even some people that have reported a salary of $80K from working there.
If you have good coding skills, then you can apply for a position for Art+Logic. It’s a web and app development company that pays $20 an hour to work from home and even higher for some other positions.
This company hires virtual assistants and pays them $20-$22 an hour for doing various different tasks, however you have to dedicate working at least 20 hours/week. Worldwide 101 helps other small and medium sized businesses to succeed.
Virtual assistant is also another growing work at home job that’s in demand. As a virtual assistant, there are over 100 different services you can offer. You can even turn this into a full time business and earn much more.

If you’re more into sales, then there may be some positions that might interest you with this company. ShowMojo helps landlords and real estate businesses automate more of the scheduling and house showing aspects.
There are various different positions that they hire for and they also pay $20 an hour to work remotely plus commissions sometimes. Just a heads up, they might not always have openings though.
Here’s another company who hires sales and customer service representatives. Since it’s work from home, it could consist of being on the phone. The pay rate is about $24 an hour plus commissions.
If you’re a nurse and don’t mind helping others over the phone, then you can work for Carenet and make some extra money! They pay $24 an hour and their requirement, as you can probably guess, is that you have to be a registered nurse.
This company hires independent contractors for translation and editing jobs in various different fields. There are some online positions that pay $20 an hour to work from home, you can check out their open positions here to see if they are hiring.
